notepad

This is one of those projects that just falls together perfectly without any effort! I was playing around with some of my new stamps from Stamper’s Dream and the whole project was finished in about 45 minutes - the average for a project like this would have been twice that long.

I started by stamping two circles from the My Favorite Things stamp set Build a Bouquet in Mellow Moss craft ink. I then masked off the circles and stamped the stem image using Chocolate Chip craft ink. The bold planter image was stamped with Bashful Blue Craft ink and the detailed image with the swirls was stamped over it with Not Quite Navy craft ink.

The flower image is from Hero Arts’ Flower Icon stamp set. I stamped it using More Mustard ink, trimmed it out and added a rhinestone to its center. I stamped a small star image from the Build a Bouquet stamp set on the large green circle to appear as a leaf, and then mounted the flower image with a dimensional.

The scallops were created using my word window punch to punch out more mustard cardstock and then sewing them to a piece of Not Quite Nave cardstock. The Not Quite Navy cardstock was embossed using the Textile Cuttlebug folder and a hammer to get a partial embossing and more distressed look. I also ran my distresser along the bottom edge to rough it up a little.

The Twill tape is the last few inches that I had on the roll. I guess I’ll need to buy some more now. I wanted to pull out the cream color of the twill tape so I stamped the two star images from the Build a Bouquet to appear as moss at the top of the planter.

I wrapped a piece of moss colored cardstock around the pad and stamped part of a sentiment from the Grateful Greetings stamp set. I also made a coordinating pen using the flower images from the Build a Bouquet stamp set.

Here is a close-up of some of the little details.
